Lenovo has just announced a new Chromebook, the IdeaPad Flex Chromebook. This budget-friendly device is available for $270, which is the lowest price yet for a Chromebook. The IdeaPad Flex Chromebook is a small and lightweight device that features an 8-inch touchscreen display and a 1GHz processor. It also has an SD card slot and a built-in webcam. The Chrome OS operating system is preloaded on this device. This budget-friendly Chromebook is perfect for students, busy professionals, or anyone who wants an affordable option to use Chrome OS.

Chromebooks are still a popular alternative to Windows and Mac laptops, and several of them are on sale for Black Friday. One of Lenovo’s mid-range models, the IdeaPad Flex 5i, is now at its best price yet.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i is now on sale for $269.99 — a decent discount from the $429.99 MSRP, though the laptop has hovered around the $300 for most of November. The laptop has an Intel Core i3-1115G4 CPU, a 13.3-inch 1080p touchscreen, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB storage. For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, two USB Type-C ports (which the laptop also charges through), USB Type-C, a combo headphone/microphone jack, and a microSD card slot.

Lenovo built this laptop with a 2-in-1 design, so you can push the screen backwards into tent mode (ideal for watching movies), or back against the keyboard to become a giant tablet. Google reports that the Flex 5i will receive Chrome OS updates until June 2030, at the earliest.
